Totally self-contained and fully automatic, the A-II valve is suited for passenger car applications. The A-II has brass cap and body, and brass with stainless steel components, incorporating a unique Buna-N plug seal.

The A-II senses ambient temperature. When the temperature falls to 38ºF, the valve begins to open and is fully open at 35ºF.

An optional, no tool required for installation, heater is available to aid in closing the valve to facilitate quick refill in cold weather. The heater has a neon lamp to indicate if it is energized, and allows closing the valve in approximately 5 minutes. Using PTC technology, the heater is self-regulating to prevent overheating.
